The Teaching & Learning Center (TLC) team is excited to begin this journey with you as you get started at Richland Community College!

This training course will guide you through the key features and functions of Canvas, the Learning Management System (LMS) used at Richland. Whether your course is [ traditional, online, or hybrid ], Canvas is an essential part of your teaching experience.

All instructors are required to use Canvas. For online courses, instructors must use it to:

Host their syllabus
Manage assignments and grades
Maintain regular student interaction in accordance with Regular and Substantive Interaction (RSI) standards

This course contains a series of modules designed to help you become confident in using Canvas.

To complete the training, you’ll need to finish all available modules. Each one builds your skills step-by-step, preparing you to create engaging and effective learning experiences for your students.
