Live Video - Zoom
Zoom is a live conferencing tool that faculty can use for class lectures, office hours, or individual student sessions. Zoom is integrated directly into Canvas so faculty can schedule meetings for their course directly in their course in Canvas. Once faculty schedule a meeting, it shows up on the Canvas Calendar (for Instructor and Students) and students get a notification message with login information sent to their Canvas Inbox and Richland email.

Directions to get started:
1. Go to a course in Canvas.
2. Click on Course Settings.
3. Click on the Navigation tab.
4. Scroll to the bottom of the page until you see Zoom. Click on Zoom and drag it to your "visible" navigation links.
5. Click the Save button at the bottom of the page.
Once you do this, Zoom will be enabled for your course. You can then click on the Zoom link in Canvas to schedule Zoom meetings for your course.

Adding Zoom Recordings to Canvas
Cloud Recording - Students can view the recording from the Zoom link in your course. This is easy to do, but won't allow you to see which students watched the recording.
Desktop Recording - If you download the recording to your Desktop, you can then upload this recording to Canvas Studio and add it anywhere in your course.
- Go to Studio in Canvas.
- Click on the "Add" button on the top right and click "Browser Files" (or drag and drop your recording into the window).
- Select your Zoom recording. If you're not sure where it's at, try Documents your computer and then look for a Zoom folder.
- Select the video Zoom recording file (often labeled as "Zoom_0").
- Once the video is done uploading, add captions Links to an external site., and then embed the video in a Page Links to an external site. in your course.
