Getting Started Resources
The goal should not be to transition our traditional and hybrid courses to online courses. The development of online courses takes hundreds of hours and months of development. Instead, we should consider what we are doing as moving our traditional courses to a remote learning environment. This means the courses will not look or function like our online courses. Instead, each Instructor must decide for themselves the best way for them and their students to accomplish the main learning outcomes for their course.

Student Assistance
The best way for students to contact Student Tech Support is by emailing student.tech@richland.edu, because those help tickets are monitored and responded to days, evenings and weekends. Students can call Student Tech Support at 217/875-7211 ext 6376, but if it is after normal office hours, they will need to leave a voicemail message that will be responded to the next business day. Student Tech Support staff also have the ability to troubleshoot problems by remote access.
