Accessing and Viewing Files
Accessing and Viewing Files In Canvas
Canvas provides a convenient way to view and/or print course files directly from Canvas without downloading and opening them on your computer. This preview mode, called Scribd, is important for students, because there is less chance of having problems viewing lecture notes, PowerPoint presentations, homework assignments, and other files your instructor has included in your course. *NOTE: Students still have the option to open and/or save course files directly on their computer.
Throughout this orientation you will see directions for how to do various things in Canvas, which will be provided in video format, and also text with screenshots. These text directions can be easily viewed, printed, or saved from the preview mode (Scribd) provided by Canvas.
The following information will show you how to access and view files using the preview mode in Canvas. Directions are provided in video, downloadable document, and text with screenshots formats. You may choose the style that works best for you.
